Who we are
Norwich Crate Hire, serving Norwich and a 5-mile radius. Contact info@norwichcratehire.co.uk for any privacy request.
What we collect
When you book we collect your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, postcode, any delivery notes, and your booking details (crate quantity, hire period, dates, return option and extras). Payments are processed by our payment provider — we never store full card details.
Why we use it
To fulfil your hire contract: scheduling delivery and collection, sending confirmation and receipt emails, managing returns, and handling any damage, loss or late-return charges. We may also use it to answer enquiries you send us.
Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Booking, delivery and returns — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- Accounting and tax records — necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
- Responding to enquiries — our legitimate interest in answering customer questions.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as needed to meet accounting and tax obligations (normally six years), then deleted.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers who help us operate this service: Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), and Lovable, our website hosting and database provider. We never sell your data.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (for example Stripe) may process personal data outside the UK or EEA. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards — such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision — are in place to protect your data.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use tracking cookies or analytics.
Marketing
We do not use your data for marketing purposes unless you separately opt in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we process it, request portability of the data you gave us (in a commonly used machine-readable format), or object to processing.
